Activities and Excursions


Social and Cultural Activities

These activities invite students to experience the local color of Spain and to enhance their education. The T&E staff develops unique cultural activities in order to maximize cultural immersion.

Homestays with local families, excursions to sites of historical, cultural, and ecological interest, conversation sessions with Spanish students, program orientations, tastings of regional cuisine, and various other social and cultural activities such as lectures on art, history and culture, showing of famous films, dance lessons, sports, visits to city monuments, swimming, and horseback riding. All work to reinforce the material that the students learn through a broad range of classes across multiple academic disciplines.


Excursions

Ground transportation, entrance fees, and guided tours are included on all T&E excursions. Hotel accommodations and breakfast are included on all overnight excursions. As part of T&E's general excursion offer students can visit the cities of Toledo, Segovia, Avila, and Madrid depending on the length of their stay. T&E also offers excursions to Leon, Sierrra de Francia, Zamora, Valladolid... that will run given a minimum student participation. T&E’s Philadelphia office can help pre-plan your trip should you decide to travel anywhere in (Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia) or outside Spain (Paris, London, Rome) before or after your arrival.
