Medical Program
T&E has created this program in response to the growing need for language skills for professionals in the field of medicine. It has been designed as an introduction to Spanish with a focus on healthcare to make it possible for bio, nursing and medical students with no previous language training to obtain formal instruction in the Spanish language despite a loaded academic schedule that is typical of students in this field of study. The program is therefore short-term, running for 3 weeks during the summer, allowing students to gain credits while focusing on their field of interest. Students will receive a total of 45 hours of intensive language instruction (at their level) including 15 hours dedicated to the instruction of specific medical terminology. In addition, in order to enhance the medical aspect of the program, T&E will organize 4 visits/lectures to/by relevant health institutions/professional in the Salamanca metropolitan area (including hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutions). And just as in any other study abroad experience, students will have the opportunity to experience the culture of Spain and be able to discover all of the riches of our country by participating in T&E organized excursions to several historically significant cities and the various sociocultural activities offered to our participants as part the be nefits outlined in this brochure.
